Apex Automation and Machine, LLC Acquires Nelson and Wright, Inc.

Apex Automation and Machine, has acquired Nelson and Wright, a wholesale distributor of electrical products. The official announcement was made in
Portland Maine on 9/28/21. The move to acquire Nelson and Wright first started in November 2020. The process took nearly 10 months to complete, and the deal was signed 9/23/21.

“We knew this was the right acquisition from the start” said Jim Witham owner and founder of Apex Automation and Machine. “Nelson and Wright is a quality company with a 40-year history of providing quality products and services to the automation industry”.

The acquisition of Nelson and Wright fits into Apex Automation and Machine’s strategy to be a premier supplier to the machine, robotics, and process control markets. By purchasing Nelson and Wright, the current group of customers and products provides a stable base of business from which Apex can grow. “Mike Wright and I are excited about the acquisition and feel Apex’s acquisition was the right choice for everyone” said Ed Nelson, President. 

Apex plans to invest heavily into the digitalization of Nelson and Wright’s operations and marketing platforms creating an enhanced customer experience and omni-channel approach to the market. “Jim’s technical, sales, and marketing experience will provide a renewed energy and new products and services for our customers” said Mike Wright, Sales Manager.
